National Ground Water Association

WCB Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR) Program

The Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) of Alberta, in conjunction with Alberta Employment and Immigration and industry safety associations, has established PIR as a voluntary program to help promote and encourage workplace health and safety standards. Members who implement and maintain a health and safety management system that meets established provincial standards are awarded a Certificate of Recognition (COR); or Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR ) available to companies with 10 or less employees.

Groundwater Observation Well Network (GOWN)

Manitoba Water Quality Standards, Objectives, and Guidelines

These guidelines were established by Manitoba Water Stewardship in November 2011 to protect, maintain and rehabilitate water quality within the province of Manitoba.

The Council is the senior advisory board that reports to the Minister of Conservation and Water Stewardship; and advises the Minister on policies, programs, plans and legislation. The Council represents the regional diversity of Manitoba, and includes local government, agricultural, and environmental perspectives.
